Delta Fly! is about to make a comeback being published regularly. The scope has been broadened to include many more aviation related topics. It will be more of a virtual airline pilot's trade magazine. Some of the potential topics are VATSIM happenings, staff changes, FAR changes, product reviews, strange aviation careers (did you know that there are only four helicopter pilots that do 95% of helicopter stunt work for movies?) and real world flight training. If you have a potential topic, feel free to post. If you would like to assist or submit an article, my email is to the left of this post. Please note, not all articles may be used at the same time. I'm not going to use an entire issue talking about a single topic. Some articles may be retained for future use if I get too many on close to the same topic. This is the membership's magazine. Make it what you want to read.

I was always a fan of tutorial-style articles. This could range from aircraft operation, flight procedures, or strange facts. It would be nice to have a more frequent posting of the FLY!

Would love to hear about new add-on products. Not necessarily reviews, although reviews would be great. I'd be happy with just a list of recently released titles though.
Since VATSIM is such a common thread topic it would be nice to have a monthly VATSIM how-to column written by a VATSIM instructor.

I'd like some columns about basic to advanced flying skills that apply across FS and the real world, something similer to Lionel had started. I love random facts as well. I also think it would be very important to feature one VATUSA ARTCC each month until all have been covered. A DVA pilot/controller for the featured ARTCC can help explain the basics for successfully flying that ARTCC, or comment on common pilot errors and how to correct them. Ex: Say the featured ARTCC for the month is ZLA. You wouldn't cover VATSIM basics that apply across all America, but rather ZLA specific information, such as TEC routes, give some preffered routings for the most popular routes, etc.
I'd also like to know about what's happening in the virtual airline, such as updates and changes where most pilots are currently in the dark. Maybe you could also have one program featured every month too. Lastly, maybe you could have a featured member column like in some of the older magazines
Sorry if I took up your whole magazine.
It will be great to have Delta FLY! regularly.

- A permanent 'newbie' section with a sticky pointing to DVA resources and links to solve first time procedures like setting up ACARS, SB4, FSInn etc.
- More tutorials. Landing procedures, radio and communication guidelines, Navigation procedures
- ATC and Vatsim etiquette ('with you' etc.)
- A dedicated section for so-called 'difficult approaches'. Guidelines and experience of fellow pilots and controllers on the approaches.
- Some stats about how DVA is doing. In terms of quarterly numbers.
- Probably a section about who-who in DVA, plus some photos if possible.
- A summary of how the events went in the past month or so and interesting things pilots and controllers experienced there.
- 'Message from the CEO'.
- A feedback section. Basically people give feedback when asked (probably through a survey) and the best 5 ideas get published along with how they helped DVA perform better.
- A what has happened section. General things will also go, but more specific 'technical' ideas like on Route plotter, ACARS, integration with external providers etc. that has made a pilot's (or controllers) life easier and merrier.

Since it seems that is going to be swinging more away from strict airline ops, I would love to see some type of GA related article each month. Not necessarily a lenghty bit but maybe just a scenery review/airplane review, anything about GA flying. Would be a cool subject.
I would be glad to contribute, especially if we had a small GA segment every month.

I ove reading Delta Fly!, should be good if it came out monthly.
I wouldnt mind seeing the following:
Pilot honour lists, like century club and additional ratings.
Maybe a pilot of the month too?
Some tutorials, like the 747 CR one you had in the past issue
Good places to fly
Events
Maybe a few aircraft suggestions, like PMDG 747s etc
Thats all i can think of right now:P

Who are they, where to they like to fly, what do they like to fly, why do they enjoy FS, how does FS and flying in general fit into their personal life, what was there favorite memory of online flying........ just a couple of suggestions

A meet Delta 5212 biography just kidding
maybe a top ten goofs list, like a stupid mistake that embarressed you on vatsim or acars
On the first couple pages screenshots of the month
A route or destination of the month
Just my 2 cents,

Delta Fly! is about to make a comeback being published regularly. If you have a potential topic, feel free to post.
1. A Nebie section - discussions on where to begin, challenges to new guys such as a "try this flight route" or "watch out for this flight route before gaining enough experince", tricks and tips, etc.
2. Group fly-in discussions--what to expect, how the last event went, did the last event have an increase or decrease in participants, etc.
3. What's new on the horizon--perhaps a technical section on latest computer improvements (processors and such)
4. I like the idea about "do this" and "don't do this" relating to VA/ATC lcommunications and "why" one is acceptable and the other is not.
5. A monthly review of one of the ARTCC centers--perhaps starting with a poll from our community on grading a specific sector (i.e. "our pilots gave the ZTL center a 7 out of 10 for efficientcy" or something along those lines). Perhaps an interview with the cheif of that group about what they are doing to train and improve their ATC guys, proceedures that are special to their particular region, recruitment, etc.
6. An International Section - perhaps an article on "Flying into Italy" or "best places to fly to" type of article.

I would like to see as stated above tutorials for more advanced operations like sections on setting up fmc's in the different types.Flight training in the legend aircraft as the CS 727. I think when the PMDG 737NG hits the market a section in future issues could be geared toward that software.
