I'm new to DVA. I've had FSX since it came out, but I didn't use it that often as my computer was too slow. Now, I have a bran new computer and I'm back into FSX. What's more? I'm in flight school too. Anyways, I'm exciting about being a pilot for DVA. Is there anything I should know about DVA except that I need to fly to airports in my assigned craft?

Oh, and I have a question. Can I get legs for just flying around for a bit then landing at the same airport or do I have to fly to a different airport? And is there a minimum distance from Airport A that Airport B can be? And do you get legs for taking off from Airport A, landing at Airport B, then taking off again and going to Airport C, D, ect.

You will receive credit for one leg when you fly a flight that is in our schedule (can be found in the pilot center). Your leg must be from this schedule or it will not be accepted.
Example: Pattern work at ATL will not count for a leg; ATL-LAX=1; ATL-LAX-ATL=2 etc.
Your legs must also be a minimum of 150nm, flown with ACARS, and not with time acceleration for it to be eligible towards your promotion to captain.
Welcome to DVA and good luck!
Nicholas

I've never done any freeflights longer than 2 hours and the stuff on the list are all just under 2 hours. I'll do the one with the MD-88 first *downloads MD-88*. Well, it's 10 at night so I may end up doing the flight tomorrow.

Just a quick note... If you fly the MD-88, your flight report will probably be rejected. Look at your Pilot Profile, under Additional Ratings. Those are the aircraft that you can fly.
However, you can also fly any route with the CRJ as long as the route is within the CRJ's range. Even if the flight is listed as an MD-88, you can still fly it with an aircraft that you are rated in.
Hope this makes a little bit of sense!

Lol, yeah, I just checked and saw that. Guess I'll do one of the CRJ-900 flights. I don't really like the CRJ-200 because I tried it earlier yesterday and by the time I had finally gotten up to speed, I was at the end of the runway.

Every new CRJ pilot asks that question... I think we need to *trim* down on how often this question is asked...
Haha, I'm just kidding. Check your trim. The manual tells you where it needs to be set at for takeoff.

I checked and it said 20 degrees. Wow, I feel stupid about not reading the operating manual.
