Ok... What am I missing. I just cleaned out my program CRJ files form add/remove on my computer.
Tried to reload a fresh software package from the Library. Clicked on Bombardier in FS9 and nothing ?
CRJ 200's all day long. Couple 900 Hundreds. But all the 700's I chose (didn't choose air france) during the installation are not
available ? Is the software omitting them now ? or Is my secret decoder ring not working anymore ?
please don't hesitate to chime in if you have a tale to tell.
Thanks for being you !
Your fellow aviator.

FS9? Check to make sure you don't have a migrant Aircraft folder hiding somewhere in your C Drive.

Andrew,
Appreciate your response and concern. I'll look around. However, Why would the 200's and 900's in the package load up correctly ?
I'll look around the files and see what is lurking about. any other suggestions ?
Thanks again
Frank

OK ! Found it... It's actually sitting in the FS9 Aircraft file with the rest of the CRJ's. Why isn't it showing up in the Flight Sim menu ?

Check your aircraft.cfg file found in your -700 aircraft folder. Check and make sure it's all there under your [flightsim.x]. You're looking for "UI Type=" "UI Manufacturer= "Texture=", etc. Type is like "CRJ-700", "Manufacturer" is of course Canadair, and "Texture" should be the same as your texture folder. So, a texture folder titled "texture.ASA" would read, "Texture=ASA" in your aircraft.cfg under [flightsim.x].
I don't have it in front of me at the moment so I can't be of any further help and I'm MUCH too tired to try and explain it; it's all I can do to type this at the moment.

Frank - What O/S are you on? I posted the same question about 4 mo. ago after upgrading to Win 7 64bit. The funny thing was... I had copied my aircraft folder over from my old system (New O/S and New Drive) which was on XP. The -700 showed up fine in XP and disappeared in Win 7. Glad to see that I am not the only one having the issue

Hello Brian,
I've been on Vista for 3 years. I remember when I was using FSX the 700 had problems . I switched to FS9 because I like flying the old birds.
Any way... when I try to delete the CRJ file in add/remove programs. the CRJ file won't completely uninstall the 900 Series ? It hangs up for some reason ?
I have to go in and manually remove the 900 series from the FS9 files. I Then go back and finish the uninstall through add/remove.
I've even tried to load the CRJ file without the CRJ900 just to see what happens ? Same thing occurs. The CRJ700 file is there but it won't appear in the bombardier aircraft menu when you want to choose your aircraft ?
I think honestly it's a program glitch.... Maybe DVA needs to look in to this and reinstall the software.
If not ? Then maybe You and I can conquer this Brian.
Please advise.
Cheers
Frank

James,
In FS9 the DVA CRJ 700 file is sitting in the Aircraft File. When I open the Aircraft File this is what is there :
Model
Panel
Sound
Texture AF
Texture ASA.NNC
Texture Com.NNC07
...........SOS ! (Save Our Ship)

It's in the CRJ-700 aircraft folder itself. It's called "aircraft" and it's a config file (.cfg) (hence "aircraft.cfg" file) and it's usually opened with notepad. It's where you'd edit the weight and balance, fuel tank capacity and such. ALL aircraft, even the AI planes, have an aircraft.cfg file inside the main aircraft folder. Double click on the aircraft.cfg file and you're looking for the [flightsim.x] (usually at the top or bottom) which will look something like this:
[fltsim.0]
title=Dreamwings DHC-8 Q100 (Delta Connection NNC)
sim=Dash8 Q100
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=nnc
kb_checklists=atr72_dva_check
kb_reference=
atc_id=N801LR
atc_airline=Freedom Air
atc_flight_number=12
atc_heavy=0
ui_manufacturer=DeHavilland
ui_type=Dash-8-100
ui_variation=Delta Connection NNC
visual_damage=0
description=Dreamwings DeHavilland Dash 8 Q100 - Repaint by Brian Kolbuch\n\nRepackaged by Delta Virtual Airlines http:\/\/www.deltava.org\/\n
Main thing you'd be concerned with is the "ui's". It's how it shows up in your "Select Aircraft" section. So, for a Dash-8 it goes as such:
ui_manufacturer=DeHavilland
ui_type=Dash-8-100
ui_variation=Delta Connection NNC
And the texture MUST equal your texture folders name EXACTLY for it to show up as well. So in this case my texture folder is called "nnc"
and looks as such in the file:
texture=nnc

Can I copy and paste the entire string from [flight sim.1] and aplpy texture=ASA._NNC to the new string. will this work ?
or can I just swap texture verbiage in an exsisting string to see if that works ?

I think I understand what you're asking, and yes. Just change texture= to ASA_NNC and change the 1 in [flightsim.1] to the next number in sequential order. So, you should have the first [flightsim.x] starting at 0, next should read [flightsim.1], then [flightsim.2], etc. You'll also have to change the title= and this can be whatever you wish. Then you should be (hopefully) good to go

Woohoo - Thanks to all on getting this resolved. Apparently the issue was that the fltsim.0 was blank. Once that was filled out with the ASA info, the 700 appeared in the dropdown.

Ok ! I tried and tried and tried. along with my good friends Mark Stead from Air France and Senior Capt James Marshall of Delta who kindly and patiently tried to help me obtain the correct CRJ 700 software. To no avail.
Finally ! I found the culprit. Ultimate Traffic was installed on my system. Ultimate traffic had a CRJ file. Upon removing the CRJ File from ultimate traffic. Guess what popped up in my drop down menu ? the DVA CRJ 700.
Anyone having issues with DVA CRJ 700. May want to first check your AI aircraft files for a CRJ 700. If there is one there. save the file first then remove it.
If you don't . it appears This will prevent you from flying a DVA CRJ 700.
This resolved all my CRJ 700 problems.
Thanks to all who helped me with this !

I had this problem as well....and figured out the fltsim.0 entry was blank.....for an aircraft to show up on the select aircraft screen....it must have fltsim.0 entered AND there should be a thumbnail image in that aircraft root folder.
The real important thing is to NOT have .0 empty.
