It seems that the flight academy in DVA is out of comission for a little while. How are we suppose to know that? (I found by sending the staff a question) It would be nice if they told the rest of us.

Ummm....a short search of the cooler forum would have revealed this fact. Countless others have asked about the academy.

I am pretty sure that they made a Water Cooler post about it when they started to do the "renovations" to the Flight Academy.
If not, then I would be surprised.

On a related note, I enrolled 11/2009 and still am Pending, if that puts a timeframe out of how backlogged they are.

Skylar, you can send me an e-mail if you like. Or you can send an e-mail to HR if you think I am out of line. He was rude and I said so. Please don't start something in this thread and get it locked like a previous thread...

I haven't started anything, nor did I start anything in another thread. Just stating the obvious.

I will nip this right away, at the current time per this post that Michael put up. http://www.deltava.org/thread.do?id=0x16e24 There is no academy right now. They are revamping it. So I dont really believe anyone is on a waiting list. I am sure when its complete they will notify us and then we can submit for the traiining.

The academy is in rework. Patience. It will be well worth the wait. And yes - when it's ready, there will be an announcement.

GOD I apolgize if I offended anyone. At least now I know a few things I didn't know then. I thank all of you for telling me about the revamp. I just thought they would have put an anouncment on the first page of the academy.

I have been waiting for well over a year to get into the flight academy... since early july 2009. So even when it does reopen, don't count on getting right in... there are about a years worth of people behind ya
Also one other thing i figured out is if you really need to go through the flight academy, then why are you flying? Just have patience I'm sure it will be interesting just nothing to break your back over.

Just trying to improve. I have a hard time concerning wind correction.
