I'm sure some computer guys will speak up soon. In the mean time... I have a problem with graphics/kernals and such and it got worse to the point where it would not recover last night. I got myself into a pickle with loading drivers and decided to just restore my computer to 6 days ago. My problem seems to be aleviated (not saying it is fixed, but seems to be doing ok now). If your OS allows you to go to an older configuration - try that.

If your ACARS and VATSIM connections are being closed at the same time, it's not something we're likely to be able to help you with. ACARS is complaining that it can't send data over the network connection. Perhaps it's firewall software on your end, or a router?
Cheers!

Seems to me that it is a problem with your network connection in general. Have you tried to browse the internet right after you get that error message in ACARS? Also does the network icon (a small two computers icon if you're using a wire or computer with green bars or something like that if you are in the wireless) on your system tray change when you get the message from ACARS? for example you get a red cross over the icon momentarily?
Hope you can fix this soon.
