Today I decided to update my ATI driver to 10.9 from 10.8. After the update I have no control over anti-aliasing in FSX, it is non-existent. So I uninstalled the 10.9 drivers, reverted back to 10.8 but I still don't have anti-aliasing. Did anyone else have this issue? BTW I have an ASUS 5870.

ATI must have a control panel that comes with the drivers....some where in there must be buttons for manual control. Sorry I can't help more, I'm a Nvidia guy!

I had an ATI Graphics Card before HD 4870 might I add. It was just horrible, blurry graphics, bad AA.
I have to say, my "Ace Combat" series of PS2 Games looked better than my FS!
I just decided to switch to NVIDIA and problem solved. FS doesnt run too well with ATI, and I have many posts on the subject if you search them here.
Regarding your problem, I'm not sure what's up but download CCC Drivers. Catalyst Control Center.

Yea, I have the catalyst control center set for anti-aliasing exactly as I had before I updated. No dice.

Reverted back to 10.6 and that did it. It must have been 10.6 I had prior to updating to 10.9. Not impressed with ATI's support, very unpredictable.

ATI has a silly track record with their drivers. They fix one thing to break 10 others. They really need to take more time on their drivers

I had problems with the 10.9 as well. 10.8 works just fine. Make sure you uninstall your previous drivers before installing the new one. I have had nvidia and ati cards and can't say that one is better than the other. I wish the catalyst had a few more options. I either get great frames with a little bit of jaggies or a perfect picture with poor frames. Seems like there should be a setting in the middle.
