Robby,
Airlines have codeshare routes with other airlines to certain cities.... a codeshare is an agreement between two or more airlines to service a particular destination. So in this case Delta has codeshared with AE to do the routes out of LAX to a few destinations...
This could be for a short time - being seasonal or otherwise..
Hope that helps..

Same goes with AA and Jetblue. Although it's more long term, they are participating in a codeshare to service more cities. It's a win win for the airlines in agreement.

It's probably a dumb question but what is codeshare - what does codeshare mean?

Yeah duh. Thank you Perez. Now I'm sorry I wanted to know the answer to that question because I looked it up. Does anyone remember the simple good old days when there were only two brands of bread on the grocery shelves. Webers and Wonder. lol

All I like is Chocolate Chip and Butter Pecan. LOL. These days I spend 45 minutes trying to decide what to buy in the grocery store. I could be at home flying....... But you do have a point Alan. Marble Fudge is pretty good too.
