I connected to squawkbox through FSX in the CS757, tuned to the right frequency on my saitek panel. the panel said the correct frequency, as did the radio panel in the 757. but the squawkbox window said I was connected on 88.873.97.359 (or some string of numbers). I could see all the planes around me and text message controllers (tom, to be specific) and tried restarting SB, all to no avail. does anyone have any suggestions?

Try entering 173.45.78.10 into the box that contains 88.873.97.359. Hope that helps.

Actually - it says: Connected to 88.198.19.202 as DAL7693/B752
That looks like an IP address. I'm displaying correctly, I show up on ServInfo and I can look out my 'window' and see other planes. It's a sound issue - I can't speak or hear anything.

"Wave - Realtek HD Audio" for both microphone and speakers. I can test the microphone under windows control panel - works great

You need to run the test in Squawkbox. There's more to it than it "it works great" in control panel. The VATSIM Voice Libraries are quite complex and were purpose designed. Otherwise, no worky.
