So ever since my reinstall and can not seem to dial in my settings to get those smooth edges back..... Ive uploaded a few photos so you can see what I mean.... things "stairstep" and when I am a airport like ATL all those vertical lines seem to "shimmer" it also happens on the windows of my a/c when panning around. I am running a PNY GTX460 with the 266.58 drivers. as well as the newest Nvidia Inspector 1.9.4.4
am I doing something wrong in the inspector?.

Have you tried bumping up your antialising. Both supersampling and under setting. I have an ATI card and I get that if my settings are turned down too low. Of course you have to trade performance for quality so you just have to find the correct balance.

Michael - I'm not an expert with FSX but I would go with Ryan's comment about turning on AA in FSX. And also as mark says try bumping up your AA settings in Inspector. Another thing to look at is VSync - I know that it can cause a shimmering effect in FSX - if you google 'FSX Vsync' you should be able to find loads of stuff on it.

Im really looking for someone that has had experience using Nvidia Inspector and knows what the best settings are for it. I have been guessing at what settings looks best, I have read so many articles and not a one mentions my issues after setting up the settings to reflect some of the posts out there. I still am getting these shimmering. Also Vsync wont work properly on a 60hz monitor unless you can get your sim up to 60 fps. So the Vsync issue is kinda out of the question, plus the sim isnt shimmering when the picutre/ aircraft is still.

Does it do it with Delta planes? I just thought it may have something to do with the plane being in Air France colors.

LOL yea I could show you a really pretty QW 757 in the new Delta livery and shiney winglets..... but it has the same effect :).... Ive tried everything.... I think i might roll back my drivers a few versions and see if I have better results. So far I have done everything mentioned in both those links, although I can say that I can constistently run everything in full sliders and no longer have those little "studders" I just am thinking now that the AA might work better in the older drivers, I can go from 4x4 to 8xS to 8xSQ and see NO change. If thats the case, Ill try it after this short hop. I have the urge to fly after messing with this for the last 2 hours

Michael - just a thought - do you run in windowed mode? Have you tried seeing what happens in full screen or vice versa. Whilst this may not be a solution it could help you get closer to curing it.

Alan, yep I run in windowed mode only.... otherwise I cant stand going between windowed and full screen with fsx, half the time for me when I switch between the two, it will lock up and crash. Well it used to back in the day, I haven't tried running full screen in some time. I will try it out tonight and see how it goes. my guess is I roll back my drivers one release and see if that works any better. Thanks again for the help
