Hi,
i want to ask if Delta has some 757s with the additional Tank, the Delta Homepage says they have 757-200ER with a range of 4722 miles, 4500nm are "normal" of the 200ER, but with Winglets it would be 200 more?
BUT: Boeing never build an OFFICIAL -200ER the extra tank was a option, also some Airlines call there Transatlantic (or Winglettet) Jet 757-200ER, so im a bit confused if Delta has some of this extra tank jets, thanks for the help

From what I know of the Rocket, and Delta Airlines, neither Delta nor any other airline has any 757 variant with extra tanks because Boeing scrapped the proposal. What some today call 757-200ER is actually a 757-200 with Winglets. Delta will add winglets to all of its 757-200's at some point but I dont think they intend to call them ERs given that 56 current planes have them and they still call them 757-200s.

The fleet page that Jesse provided says no. Im sure theres nothing like the C-32 at Delta. My guess is that the 56 with winglets so far have been called the ER's by Delta.

It be tough but an N number for those civil jets may help show they have the tanks. Have fun on the rocket!

According to the printout I have (from Boeing), there are 5 variations of the -200 with PW2037/2040 engines, and all have a max fuel capacity of 75,550 lbs, so, no extra tanks.

.... i just found something interestin on boeing.com
For added reliability on ETOPS flights, the 757 is available with extended range features, including a backup hydraulic-motor generator and an auxiliary fan to cool equipment in the electronics bay. High-gross-weight versions of the aircraft can fly 4,500 statute miles (7,240 kilometers) nonstop with full passenger payload. These system attributes contribute to the 757's versatility, allowing it to serve more markets.
so just a higher TOW makes a bigger range?

No 752 flying around has extra fuel tanks. The extended range comes from blended winglets and computer changes, etc. to up the MTOW allowing ETOPS along with other changes.

Delta adds the "-ER" designation to distinguish between their ETOPS certified 757s. These operate across the Atlantic and have BusinessElite seats. There are many domestic 757s flying around with winglets but they are not ETOPS certified. You won't see the "ER" internally or externally on the domestic 752s with winglets. The only way to know for these are if you're familiar with the ship numbers that have winglets or if you have access to an internal Delta document that has the entire fleet list and what's on each a/c; i.e. winglets, AVOD, extended overwater OPS, lieflat, etc.

The only thing i see different with the C-32 from QWSIM757 is that it holds about 2467lbs more with no extra tank..... to me, I'd use it to do some flights using that config with a notation..
