Hi everyone,
Please don't beat up the new guy, but i have a very simple question. Are we mandated as DVA pilots to abide to the flight schedule (To/From) or is it okay to create an uscheduled flight between two airports ? I'm asking because i like to fly on VATSIM, under ATC, and i'll often choose my departing and arrival field according to coverage. I could try to create a flight, but i'd rather ask first before making a mess !
This has probably been asked here, but i browsed a couple of pages and could not really find a clear cut answer. The search function returned a Java.Exception error.
I have really enjoyed my experience here so far, and i look forward to flying here a long time, free flight policy or not !

No, you can't create your own flights. You must abide by what's in the schedule.

Actually you can create your own flights - as a charter. A simple request to staff with the pertinent information (from, to, ICAOs, plane, etc) is all you need, Check out the DEC issue of the Fly!

David, Be sure your are checking out the Codeshare partner schedule(s). I am currently discovering Mexico, via AeroMexico airlines. Seems like many of their airports are surrounded by high mountans. I got by trusty 737 out of the hangar, again.

I took his question as a "all the flights I want to do aren't in the schedule." Different than a sport or military charter... or the fun flight every once in a while.
