I just flew from DTW to PHL in my wonderful iFly 738, and got an Excessive Weight Flag.
Checking my numbers IAW the Limitations section of the iFly Manual, with my AC loaded to an Initial Gross Weight of 140,194lbs, that puts me close to 4000lbs UNDER Max Landing Weight of 144,000lbs.
I used the iFly's configuration Manager to load the aircraft, and double checked the load in the Aircraft Menu of FSX.
ACARS shows me at 155,619lbs at takeoff (119lbs over Max Takeoff, and not a true number), and 146,383lbs at landing, and 83lbs overweight. Again IAW iFly Manual, that number should have been 2,383lbs overweight if that were a true number.
I've seen the overweight message once before, but that was because I'd told ACARS I was flying the 73G and I actually flew the 738. Until now, I've not really paid much attention to the ACARS numbers (except the landing rate ).
Bottom line is that the ACARS numbers are not matching mine, nor the limitations.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a fix for this that I've missed?

Numbers in ACARS are based on fleet aircraft. You can update the loading for the ifly through the ACARS system. I'm sure someone already has an iFly fuel set already for ACARS. Would recommend moving this over to the 737 thread.

Which weight do we use.
Wilkipedia lists it as 144,500–187,700
PMDG lists it as 173,000
Boeing lists it as 174,200 lb (79,010 kg)
Simvation lists it as 155,500 (70,530) to 174,200 (79,010)
There are alot of different numbers out there

Well, looking at it, I'd say your fuel planning is a bit off. You most certainly do not need 10000 lbs of fuel on landing. Normal reserves are around 4400.

According to Boeing's numbers the winglet models have a max landing weight of 146,300 lbs - and that seems to be what we use. The two other variants are lower:

Jesse like s 4400, I lean more toward 5-6000 lbs. At 73% EPR at 10,000/250 that gives me about an hour and a half, 45 minutes of holding, enough to divert, and a missed approach or two.

Yeah, that's how I usually end up, between 5 and 6k - that's why I only plan for 4, lol.

I will often ferry, if I think the numbers will let me get two 20 min flights from one tank. No, not the best practice, but smaller airports that only have small Jet-A tanks will often charge more.
