Hello, I'm sure that his question has been asked many times before but I'm looking at purchasing either the Ifly 737 NG or the PMDG 737 NGX. I realize that the PMDG software is probably the better choice but I want to make sure that which one will run the best on my system. Unfortunately I don't have the fastest computer so I'm trying to make the best choice. I have listed my specs below. Any suggestions and/or reviews would be greatly appreciated.
FSX
Windows 7 64
AMD Phenom II X4 830 Processor 2.80 GHz
6 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series Video Card

Sounds like the PMDG NGX would be the best choice.

I agree that it would be the best choice but I'm not sure how well it will run on my system.

I have both, and I prefer the iFly right now, just because of the FPS hit the PMDG gives me.

I guess my biggest issue is will my system run ifly? John, could you please check my specs above and compare with your rig? Thanks.

Your specs are better than mine.
I'm running a dual core with 1600mhz RAM and a GeForce 210 Video card.
I know your system will run the iFly as smooth as a molten Hershey bar.
I prefer the iFly because it is less resource intensive. The PMDG is very complex and you may miss out on some things like the MTBF algorythm.
Keep in mind though that someone with a rig close to your specs should chime in right now to tell you how the NGX is treating them.
Anyone?

I also have both... While the PMDG is amazingly accurate, the iFly is alot nicer on your CPU...
If its framerates you are after, FS9 with the iFly is better than a molten hershey bar on the surface of the sun....

After getting the PMDG, I immediately tossed my iFly into the trash and never touched it again. If you're smart with your settings, etc.. you'll enjoy the NGX.
