If you change programs to a program you have an additional rating in do the flights you have already flown count towards your promotions to Captain? i.e. If you are in the 737-800 program with an additional rating for the MD-88 aircraft and switched to the MD-88 program will the previous flights flown in the MD-88 over 150nm count towards captain?
What would be the advantage of changing programs verses having the additional rating in the aircraft? Just asking, I really enjoy the MD-88 more and more and I am in the 737 program.

Don't know the answer, but...
I don't think you're allowed to leave the 737 program. You have to wait until everyones asleep then make your move. Once they find out you like the MD-88 -

More ratings and credit for flying other types. Give the 767 a try...you'll never look back.

Teasing aside, you should look to move into the program of your favorite aircraft. It will be your home at DVA and everyone will be able to see your program pride!

Flew my checkride for the 767 on 2/11, needless to say I am awaiting the results, ergo checking my email at all hours of the day and night multiple times per hour since the 11th. Wait where was the DVA addiction thread again? May need some group therapy. To day was my 30th Bday, I was hoping that would be my present.

Get to the Support thread ASAP! Man, they should have a warning e-mail sent to the evaluators as soon as we click the little button that says "This is a check ride" then the evaluators should stop what they are doing, go to the computer, sit and wait for us to finish, and then send us our pass/fail results within 5 minutes of us completing the check ride. This cruel and inhuman treatment is not fair!

Wow, Hello guy that took that way out of context.
I was simply trying to say how addicted I am to DVA, and in no way complaining about how long it takes or implying that people who volunteer there time to do this should be at our disposal 24/7. Sad part is DVA is the only thing that brings any sort of happiness to my life right now and seems to be the only place I can accomplish anything. So yes, I continue to check my email like a crazy person. I was making fun of myself or trying too.
This why I don't post in forums.

this is no reason to stop posting in forums. people make mistakes, he was just trying to make a joke, its kinda a common practice here. there is no need to get upset, and especially to stop posting. we are a welcoming community who just want to have fun and make jokes. i hope you understand that, as well as how i need a grammar teacher. Happy flying!

This may also be out of context, but a few days ago I took the 767 written, but I hhave not received any e-mail about whether I passed it, or what the next step should be. In the pilot center it says, "You are elgibile to request but have not passed the Check Ride for this Equipment program." How do I go about requesting the Check Ride?

Garen, if you are eligible to request the checkride then you passed your exam. Then in your pilot center, select either "request additional ratings" or "new equipment transfer request" for the 767 and it should be processed by the 767 staff relatively quickly.

I am currently in the MD-88 program but do not have a MD-88 in my FSX. My memory is limited so all the planes I have right now are it. I really wanna get moved to the 767 because I absolutely love flying it over the pond (which I did Monday). I emailed my current Chief Pilot about it. Did I follow the right procedure?

Tyler, to join the 767 program you first have to be a captain in a stage 2 aircraft (i.e. MD-88, B737, or A320). Once you acheive that rank, you can take the 767 FO test and if you pass, take the check ride. And, yes, you did the right thing by emailing your chief pilot to answer your questions. You can also post your questions here in the cooler and we'd be happy to help you.

Tyler, go to your pilot center, and then find the link to the fleet library. There you will be able to download an MD-88 for FSX.

Whats funny is that I looked at all those who are trying to represent themselves [and their program] and say "join us were better". Didn't see the 757 guy try to represent the 757 program though. Are they asleep or something [while still maintaining to have the most aircraft out of our fleet]? Also [this might get things going again] I'm thinking of joining the 757 program. Do you 767 guys object?

Whats funny is that I looked at all those who are trying to represent themselves [and their program] and say "join us were better". Didn't see the 757 guy try to represent the 757 program though. Are they asleep or something [while still maintaining to have the most aircraft out of our fleet]? Also [this might get things going again] I'm thinking of joining the 757 program. Do you 767 guys object?
Of course...now join the 767 guys. If you join us in the next 5 minutes, you get a free toaster.*

When I moved through stage 3, I went the 757 route. It was a good aircraft and I would recommend it over the 767... provided you continue into the 747 of course!

After much frustration with the fleet 757 and FS9 I made the switch to the 727-200 program. Challenging it is :-)
