Hello
I just want to know why people join Delta Virtual and fly only Air Canada or Air France routes when they have their own VAs? I'm not having any problem with it, don't get it wrong I'm just interested
Thanks

We don't have any Air Canada routes. That would be nice, though. We do have Westjet routes, and I fly them because I'm from Canada and like to fly to those destinations. After you fly so many routes out of the Delta hubs (ATl, DTW, etc.), you kinda just want to fly something else sometimes. That's what our codeshares are for. And how could I leave DVA when there's no other VA even close to its level? Air Canada VA is really not very good, Air France VA is partnered with DVA so I'm not really sure why you used that as an example. I love our community, the website, ACARS, everything. You can make your experience here as realistic as you wish. It's just too great of a place to give up.

Not so fast ...take a look at some staff (and Senior Staff) signatures ....many have the widget. They also have the "approved signature" watermark. There is more to NOTAM #35 than what you wrote.

I joined DeltaVA several years ago (before Delta and Northwest were in the process of merging operations) because I wanted to fly Northwest Airlines routes and aircraft . . . so once I joined, I primarily flew the DC-9 and B757 under NWA callsigns. The reason I picked DeltaVA rather than one of the couple of other NWA-only VA's was because of the large community and how technologically advanced DVA is compared to the majority of other VAs. Once NWA was consumed into Delta, I simply started flying with a Delta callsign like I was an ex-NWA pilot.
I've turned into a Delta "purist" in that I only fly Delta flights and equipment for DVA now, but when I considered myself a Northwest "enthusiast", the operations of DVA were very appealing.

Just finished to read the Policy and in effect if you have counterpart permission you are allowed to use the widget.....my bad I took for granted the Notam without reading the policy even it says to do so

off topic, that sig looks great Vincenzo.....I have seen very similar over New Mexico enroute to LAX recently. It reminds me of the desert southwest in the US for some reason.

And continuing that off-topic route (sorry, Lucas), I'm assuming that's a real-world shot in your sig, Vincenzo?

I just started back up here, and I'm quite happy to see the Westjet routes here under codeshare. My first flight will be a Westjet flight (569 YYZ to YQT). I will certainly fly Delta routes too under the Delta banner but I love flying in my home country too. The VAs for any Canadian operator have been long stagnant, and even the ones in operation (if they are) haven't changed since the early 2000's. Delta VA has a great system.
Glad to be back and looking forward to many flights in the NGX!
