G'day
I am from Australia, Queensland to be precise. I have been into flight simming since the days of the old commodore 64. I am new to the VA concept, but it appears that you have all the resources available to progress in my new career as a DVA pilot. I am currently in the CRJ200 program, I look forward to moving to the 737 NGX program as I use PMDG 737NGX when offline. Anyway see you all in the virtual skies,
Cheers.
Christian

Welcome aboard, Christian. I have an old Commodore 64 in the basement - it's inop, but I decided to keep it for memories. You'll enjoy the B737 program! I fly the IFly 737NGX.

The PMDG is leaps and bounds above the iFLY, but is FSX only. If you have FS9, then the iFLY is the way to go.

@Nicholas - are you comparing the old iFly sims, or the new (2011) iFly 737NG? I find it to be quite complete, with a very capable FMC, autoland, and frame rate on my AMD 8-core-powered system running FSX. What are the "leaps and bounds" advantages of the PMDG sim? The iFly FMC has ETA page editing, step climb, cost indexing for LRC/ECON speeds, fly-by and fly-over conditional weaypoints and more. I don't use most of this stuff in the FMC, but it's there if I want to get even more realistic. The operations manual is 522 pages long.

G'day, Ihave the PMDG version and it has all the bell and whistles that I require. It has heaps of option and failures accesable from the CDU. Someone should do a comparison between both these two great products? Until I can transfer to the 737 program I"ll keep practicing my sop's on the PMDG 737NGX Cheers.
