fairly self explanatory. recently my mouse started double clicking when i didnt double click. i plugged in another mouse to figure out where the problem was, and it did the same thing, so it seems to be something with the computer itself

Is it just doing it for a short while, or all the time?

Do a Google search for your drivers. Use your mouse brand and model number in the search (i.e. Drivers for HP xxxx). It'll pull up the drivers, download them and install them.

You can also: control panel>device manager>mice and other pointing devices: right click your mouse, properties, drivers tab and select update driver.
And/Or adjust the speed at which you select a double click: control panel>mouse then activities tab and slow down your double click speed to make it harder to recognize a double click.
I would recommend the update driver to see if that clears it up first.
