Hi, I have a midrange PC that gets about 20 FPS when I am running PMDG, FSX, and REX. I have noticed, however that Rex doesn't seem to be working to its fullest potential. Are there recommended settings other than the ones stated in the user guide for REX that would better my cloud resolution as well as better the realism. I will sometimes be flying through a storm on the REX minimized map, but the FSX will show clear skies with very few clouds. Even when there are clouds, I can never get them to look realistic especially marine layer. I live in San Diego so we have marine layer for most of the end of winter/beginning of spring. It is important to me that the clouds look realistic because thats what I bought the product for. I have noticed that things look more realistic if I preload the settings in REX, then close rex and go into fsx and choose the real world weather FSX option so that I am only using the textures from rex that I loaded and not the actually weather integration program. Tell me what you think the problem might be and how I can enhance my REX experience. Lots of the pictures that members from our airline post are AWESOME looking because of whatever settings they are using in their weather program.
