Added to the EMB120 fleet is the first ever turboprop to enter sustained commercial service in the US, The Fairchild FH-227. This 43 seat short range turboprop was used extensively by Northeast Airlines in, among all places, the northeast US for short hops to smaller airports between Philly, New York, Boston and Montreal.
From the Delta Museum web site: Northeast Airlines put its first (of seven) FH-227B into service from Boston on September 7, 1966. The FH-227 replaced the airlines' Douglas DC-3 and DC-6B propeller planes. Northeast's FH-277B fleet came to Delta after the airlines merged on August 1, 1972. FH-227B was the only turboprop passenger type ever used by Delta, but Delta also operated the turboprop all-cargo Lockheed L-100. The FH-227B fleet was sold to Air New England in December 1974. Ratings can be obtained by selecting Request Additional Ratings for the EMB120 or CRJ program in the Pilot Center. Currently only pilots who have obtained Stage 1 ratings can obtain the rating.

http://www.calclassic.com/f27.htm here is what I've found. Plane flies, Kingair sound pack and for FSX, 1/2 of the gauge does not work, but the model and the texture looks nice.

Deja vu here - the first U.S airline to operate the F-27 was West Coast Airlines, replacing their venerable DC-3s in the Pacific Northwest. West Coast had an interesting history - see at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Coast_Airlines
When I was a teenager growing up in Klamath Falls, OR, I watched the first F-27 land there on a crew fam flight. Us aviation nuts found it really cool to have turbine engines turning propellers.
Unfortunately, there was a fatal crash of a West Coast F-27 after takeoff from Klamath Falls in IMC weather in March, 1967, after I had left home for Navy duty fixing avionics on the A-6A Intruder. There was only one passenger on board, who perished with the three crew members. See writeup at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Coast_Flight_720 It's a good lesson on crew flight preparation.
