I downloaded the VA fleet Dornier 328 jet. It works, but the wheels don't show in FS9. Anyone know if a FS9 version is in the works? I searched AVSIM, etc. and there seems to be a shortage of this aircraft out there for FS9.

The FRJ is an old FSDS model that was designed for FS2002. For some reason, FS9 doesn't like FSDS models. Abacus came out with FSDS2 and those models work fine in FS2002 and FS9. I haven't seen or heard of a new FRJ for FS9, so you have two options. 1. Ignore the lack of wheels and just fly it. 2. Don't fly it. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

Wish someone would make a new Gmax FRJ for FS2004, really need one.
For the time being, i suggest you just sub the FRJ with the CRJ-200. Thats what i do anyways.

I worked on FRJs during the summer for ACA as a Comair employee. They weren't retired. Skywest pilots may be flyng them very soon since Delta acquired most of ACAs fleet when ACA opted out of the agreement.

Ok i checked up on the matter.
All Delta Connection FRJ's have ceased operations...they're now being stored in KMYR.
Unfortunately for Delta...ACA ( Atlantic Coast ) made Delta sign a contract stating that if they were to leave the Delta Connection system, Delta would have to pay for the FRJ's.
So... Delta has to pay for them...according to the contract, however, they havent started paying, so technically they're still ACA's.
If/whenever Delta decides to pay for them, It definitely wont go to Skywest, Skywest isnt owned by Delta at all. Plus, they're low-performance planes...they'd fly very poorly and unecomically in the west due to the high elevations and various terrain in those areas.
If it'd go to any Delta Connection carrier, it'd go to Comair or ASA... I see them more with ASA ( Since ASA operates CRJ's/ATR's, FRJ's coming into the mix wont be a big deal ).... Comair & ASA are both fully owned by Delta Airlines.

I have seen FRJs out here at CAE...some wearing Delta Connection colors, and some wearing a different paint that says "ACA Private Coach" on the tail. They must do some maintenance on them out here, because it's not uncommon to see one or two parked on the ramp just up the road from the General Aviation area, with their engines removed.

Yep , I agree with Brian. ASA would probably be the more likely one to pick them up. I liked those aircraft. I wish someone would outfit one for FS9 , with a good panel and sound. People just dont take the time to realize what good aircraft some of these little ones are. ACA is now Independence Air. They went to the darn scarebus. ( idiots ! ) Guess they are to good for the Dorniers anymore I sure would liek to see those aircraft back in service! I flew on one from CVG - TOL for the Dayton Airshow. Boy when we landed , I asked the captain why did i not hear the sound of engines roaring! He said ha ! We dont have reverse lol. That could be the reason.

Yeah i agree...they're very nice planes.
Well, for now anyways...the only airline in the USA still flying Dornier 328 *** Jets *** is Milwaukee Express ( Midwest Connection )
Dornier 328 Props are pretty plentiful with US Airways.... But the jet is much better
I hate seeing airplanes retired though...its pretty sad, especially if they'll never fly again. I felt bad with AA retired their Fokker 100's ( They were fairly nice birds... i flew one back in 2000 DTW-ORD on American, sat right next to the engine on the window seat... pretty loud, but nice anyways )... but at least most are with Helvetic Airways in Europe... or with JetsGo in Canada.

Eaglesoft is working on a payware FRJ for FS2004. I haven't seen any external screenshots, but they have some preliminary panel shots in their forums (http://www.eaglesoftdg.com). Lonny Payne is doing the panel work, and he's apparently got a real-life type rating in the FRJ.

HAving cleaned the FRJs from the front to back bottom and top I'm happy to see them go. Yep they're being stored in MYR (my hometown) I havent heard anything from managment about them. The ACA Charters you see flying are FRJs still own by Independence/ACA. ACA purchased them and completed payments on them I'm told by the crews I stay in contact with who now fly the CRJs or are in Airbus training. no reversers is correct..lol..oh and there's no assistance on the stick. Pullingback on the yoke is like moving furniture..lol
