*caugh* that's default Atlanta without AI it looks like! It's the busiest airport in the world in real life!
That was probably a bad move on Delta's part when they got all that PanAm stuff. It cost way more than it was worth!

forgot to add that Delta CAN'T consider a Scarebus because they signed an agreement with Boeing to by strictly Boeing planes for like forever (more like 20 years, but they seem to keep extending the time.)

I find the Airbus panels to be very sterile, though quite functional. I like something a bit busier looking. If I wanted to watch TV I'd stay at home.

Hey Michael, I know what you mean, (I still like Airbus panels), but is not the case of the A310, check the pic of the panel, enough busy for you?

Mein Gott! There's real guages in that airplane! That looks a whole lot better than the A320-200. I used to fly about 50/50 the 320 and 734 in and out of the UK with my last airline. I hated the A320.
I could get used to that, but where is the HSI?

Interesting panel, reminds me a lot of the 757/767. Was the 310 fly-by-wire, or did that come in with the 320?

A-320 was FBW. And nothing to look at except for TV all the way there. STBY horizon, altimeter and airspeed that you couldn't even read if you had too.

sorry Daniel but I do not agree with you, Boeing used to make nice planes (707,720,727,737-100/200,747-100/200 and the 757) but in my opinion Airbus is still making nice planes (yup even the A380). the only nice plane boeing has in production is the 717 but I'm never going to call that a boeing, It's an MD so it will always be an MD.
ps; I do not like the 7E7, way to futuristic

That's an insult to me as I've had a say in it's technology! I think it will be a very cool plane.
In real life I fly Delta (all Boeing) and they are all very nice. I should try a codeshare Airbus sometime. I for some reason feel very loyal to Boeing tho.

heres the deal...
I AGREE with what Mike said about the A320/A380, but I fell in love with that A310 panel
I DISAGREE with part of what Sander said about the 7E7 being too futuristic, because thats the whole point, u have to remember Sander that the World is always gonna look ahead, so instead of looking for what Aircraft is the best "vintage" one like (you mentioned) the 717, we must look into an aircraft that will get us out to space. Not that the 7E7 will get us any closer to that, but I just wanted to get my word out.
I DISAGREE about what Joshua said about dragging him down aj'way to get him on an airbus. Although I must admit, airbus had a few crashes due to "safety" system or electronic failure, but you should make note about all of Boeing's problems before you get on Airbus' case. Lets not forget the crash of the Aloha Airlines 737, the alumunum around the fueslage got old and torn, and in result, during flight the entire upper fueslage (or the roof) broke wide open during flight, those who werent wearing seatbelts were sucked out in an instant, also the crash of the United Airlines DC-10 at Honolulu, the Hydraulical system failed, and the third engine blew out, and why...you guessed it, System Wear and Body Wear.
You see, both Boeing and Airbus have their own problems which are dealt with by engineers, the point is there is no logical reason why u must be dragged down a jetway to get on an Airbus or as to a Boeing. In fact i went on an A320 before, the ride was smooth, even through turbulence. Josh, i guarantee you, once you get on an Airbus, it will change your whole philosophy.

And for all people who refer Airbus as "Scarebus" because of faulty designed features, have a look at the accident with a United 747-200 in the early 90's, because of a wrong designed electrical system for the cargo door, It bursted during the climb to cruise altitude and took a part of the fuselage with it killing 9 people on board. It's just the fact that there are no realy dangerous planes build anymore.

Guys, I do not know what is the range of the B717, but it will surely be nice to have some coming into DVA, it should get the MD-88/90 out of short routes and can get 'em into longer one, I think that should help the company reduce costs. MD-88 is a GREAT plane, and I would really go into tears the day it's taken out of service, but a think it's to big to cover routes to Savannah or Jacksonville, and therefore B717 could take those 1-1.5hr routes and let the MD-88 have the longer routes. Dunno, it's my opinion. What do you think?

Isn't it cheaper to buy the planes rather than having them LEASED!? Why DELTA!? Why!? *cries* Anyway, i've flown 3 times with Delta in real life..... 2 times in MD-88 (Miami - Orlando) and once in a Delta 767 rented to LAPA. I just fell in love with the real airline. I would like, put money (if I had, lol) to save the company from fitting into Chapter 11.
Anyway, thanks for the data!
