I am a big fun of the SimBrief integration. Would you consider implementing custom user airframes in the API so that we can use the appropriate airframes / performance numbers?
Here is the API documentation - https://forum.navigraph.com/t/the-simbrief-api/5298#using-custom-user-airframes-with-the-api-9

Joe,
I recommend creating a help desk ticket and we can convert to a tracker to look into.

Joe can write an issue tracker on his own (no need to create a Help Desk ticket to then convert) but this seems like a niche request. What specific data do you want to override?
Cheers!

Actually Luke the problem is that most of the default simbrief profiles are not accurate to the model being flown, so for the PMDG 737 there are profiles that you can import that match up to the aircraft. The problem is that when you use the simbrief option here, it just pulls in the default 738 profile and not the one that I have in "My Fleet" that is accurate for a 160 Passenger model of the PMDG Aircraft.

Hi Jeremy,
You can find custom simbrief profiles online. I've found several at flightsim.to.

Jeremy,
I have a fleet setup for myself which I went in and customized to our DVA aircraft profiles. When I use our Simbrief integration, I noticed it uses the default aircraft. I usually edit the flight plan and select one in my fleet and then generate the briefing again on Simbrief. It seems to work for me this way.
As Kevin mentioned there are custom simbrief profiles you can look into as well.

Thanks guys, yes I have custom ones from Flightsim.to, my problem is as Joe describes the DVA Simbrief integration automatically selects the default profile. At this point I have stopped using the integration through DVA. I would like to be able to select the custom profile on the DVA integration because I think it is a great feature.

Thanks for explaining what you're trying to do. At first I was worried that you wanted to upload custom JSON airframe data, but if you just want to use a predefined airframe ID at SimBrief that makes sense. I have a 75S with PW2040s that I enjoy taking out so I have a personal use case as well.
Unfortunately, SimBrief doesn't have an API call that I'm aware of that allows me to enumerate each user's custom profiles. So what I need to do is start saving the airframe IDs that I get back as part of the briefing XML and linking them with the tail code. What that means is that if you're going to use a custom airframe, you need to do the following steps:
1) Plan the flight using DVA's SimBrief integration.
2) Edit the flight plan on simbrief, change the aircraft to your custom type, then regenerate the flight plan.
3) Refresh the sb package on the DVA draft flight report.
Once that's done, I'll have the custom airframe ID linked to the tail code and going forward you'll see an option to use your custom aiframe on SimBrief.
Cheers!

I tested this earlier today and here are my findings.
I started by planning a flight as usual using the DVA SimBrief integration.
I went to SimBrief and edited the flight to use my custom airframe.
Then came back to DVA and clicked refresh, which actually showed the custom airframe id. - so far so good.
Following that, I choose a completely different flight and went ahead and planned the flight using the same Tail code I used before expecting that the custom airframe id would be used.
However, it looks like the new flight was planned using the default airframe.
My understanding from your post above is that once you map the tail code to a custom airframe id, this should persist on following request? Is that not the case?

Once it's been mapped, it should use the custom ID going forward. You should see it as you switch tail codes prior to generating the dispatch package. Send me links to the flight reports in question and I can dig further.

this is the second flight I planned and it didnt pick up the custom id although I used the same tail https://www.deltava.org/pirep.do?id=0x1989dd

I've done some refactoring of tail codes and SimBrief custom profiles. Please clear out the second flight report if it hasn't been flown yet and try again.
As you select a tail code, you should see a custom SimBrief airframe ID displayed in green. The caveat is that I don't have a good way of being notified if you delete an airframe ID, so the system will ignore custom IDs once you create a dispatch package for a given tail code and explicitly tell it not to use the custom airframe profile.
Cheers!

Luke,
I am not seeing the Simbrief airframe ID either. As you can see in flight report https://www.deltava.org/pirep.do?id=0x199134 it has "Aircraft 738PMDG - SimBrief airframe ID 377886_1661427655805" for "Aircraft Registration N774DE" This is a completed and approved flight and the SimBrief ID is saved after I updated the SimBrief Package.
When I create a new draft flight report https://www.deltava.org/pirep.do?id=0x199365 and select the tail numbers it should either see "N774DE with green SimBrief airframe ID 377886_1661427655805" or "738PMDG - SimBrief airframe ID 377886_1661427655805" it does not. I do have "N774DE" but it is the default 737-800 profile with 184 Passengers, after I select this I have to go into SimBrief and edit the flight with the proper profile, then update the Draft report. The probelm is when I do this the number of passengers is not corrected.
Thank you,

Luke - I jsut tried this.
First, I had to update the flight with the airframe in simbrief and delta. Then I had to complete the flight.
Bow I have the airframe in DVA - but it fails creating flight plans, calling "unknown aircraft type".
See image: https://ibb.co/hWtV1rM
** edit **
Maybe its my bad - I changed the airframe in simbrief, deleted and recreated it, it now has a different ID.
I am trying to do another flight with it - will it updated the simbrief airframe ID associated with this tail number?
** Another Edit **
I just filed the flight report - but it seems N374DA on my account is linked to SimBrief ID: 379894_1674646595860
Can you make it link to SimBrief airframe ID 379894_1674755968350 which is the correct one in my account?
I will try a different airframe later this week, but I am pretty sure that this reg number was linked to an airframe I deleted when I updated the basic PMDG profiles in simbrief.
Filing a new pirep with N374DA with the correct airframe (after updating on DVA) didn't update the db, so this tail number is linked to the wrong airframe in simbrief right now.
I will open a helpdesk ticket for this.
