Recently I rebuilt an older P3, and connected it to my other older P3 over LAN, so what can I do now to help improve the performance of my Flight Sim?
What I am currently doing is using one of the computers for Flight Sim, AVC, and Squawk Box. The other I use for charts, ServInfo, and getting last minute, or in flight, info from the Internet.
I thought about using the second PC for AVC, and patching the sound card ?out? to the Aux line in of the Flight Sim PC.
What do you think, what have you all done? Thanks in advance.

my setup is, on main PC only FS and SBRelay, in the other PC AS2004, Squawkbox, Servinfo, charts, etc. connected via WidefFS.
You can connect FS sound to the speakers and in the other PC use AVC with a headset with mic..

What I do to improve performance in FS (I've got a single computer)
Just shutdown Explorer.exe ... I found out that shutting this down will improve my FPS in 5% more or less. Then , when you're finished flying, re-run Explorer.exe from the Tasks Manager. Trust me, shutting down Explorer.exe will help your performance a lot.
Hope this helps.
BTW: THANKS MR. PALMER FOR THIS COOL SIGNATURE

Thanks Charly, I?m going to try to configure my setup like you have yours. It sounds like just the thing I was looking for, although I was not quite sure of what exactly that was.
Is AS2004 free, if not is it worth buying? I took a quick look at it online, if it is as good as they make it sound, I need it.
Also, thanks Eugenio, I will try shutting down Explorer to see if this helps. I have been using EndItAll, before I got my latest setup, and that works well to, although I don?t believe that I ever forced Explorer to close. With my new dedicated PC for flight sim I don?t think that I will need it anymore, because I am not going to be loading all of the day-to-day stuff onto it.

Robert, I'm using ActiveSky now.... It's really worth every penny or cent or whatever you like. If you can afford it, go and get it, it's a must.

Robert,
I run my system like Charly including AI Bridge that supplies data to TCAS equipped panels, DVA ACARS, FS Tracker, and FS Real Time. Key utility is WideFS. Without it you won'd be able to move the applications to your second PC. The router lights up like a Christmas tree, but it seems to be dependible and does reduce the CPU hits to the flight sim PC.
