Sorry to pollute the airwaves with so many posts, but having a real doozie of a time configuring FS9 instead of FS2002 on VATSIM.
Good news is I'm 99% there...I think. Everything else is fine.
I'm able to connect to the Roger WILCO voice server when connecting using SBox.
It allows me to connect to all available server/room EXCEPT Unicom 122.8, where it immediately kicks me off with an error screen "AVC was unable to connect you to the requested room or voice server".
Is UNICOM server 127.0.0.1 the correct address?
Again, local rooms (local ATC) all work fine, it's just the UNICOM!
Any ideas? VERY frustrating!
Regards, Joe

Joseph,
The roger wilco ID you connect with really isn?t a huge deal because all it really does is right when it connects you is sends you to that particular Unicom station at the time of your connection, and you can later change the adress, I usually use rw.avsim.net for the Roger Wilco server. The main Unicom channel is "rw.avsim.net/unicom" (though every channel does have a Unicom the majority of people use the rw.avsim voice channel). Not sure how your getting 127.0.0.1, because all Unicom channels are just the voice server with "/unicom" on the end. The only other thing I can suggest is to be sure that you have your correct information inserted in the AVC program (i.e. your PID and password). If this doesn?t work and you seem to just be "unable" to connect to the channel, then I would suggest that you reinstall AVC, if that still doesn?t work, just use text Unicom (that?s what I use anyway, Unicom really isn?t a necessity unless you are flying into an area with more than a few a/c i.e. DAL fly in, though we use company channel most of the time for that).

Joe,
Since you had AVC configured with FS2K2, meaning a registry entry was made to bring up AVC when connecting SB to the network, that registry entry still exists giving you the error that you reported. If you want to flip back and forth between AVC and RW, install the little utility Aviation Network Switcher ANVS.zip that makes the registry change without uninstalling and reinstalling.
