Hey everyone,
I recently put a new switch made from Romtec in my system that allows you to boot from different HD's inside the box... really cool, it allows me to have all my junk, pictures, mail, music, etc.. on one HD, and a dedicated HD to flight sim only.. .no junk... no active running virus program (only runs when I want it too, like after I download a file I scan it...), nothing running but FS and needed programs to do so...
However, ever since I've installed FS again and started flying on this HD, I've noticed that it became very hard to land.. I'd kick off the A/P speed control throttle about 50-100 feet off the ground and it would start to climb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am flying the 757 found here.. I have downloaded the FS9 update from Microsoft.
Then I downloaded the 737 package.. same thing.. throw of the AP speed control and I start climbing!!!
I have always on the old HD had to cycle the throttle up and down immediatly after kicking off the AP for FS to figure out where it was, but a quick movement, it would catch quickly..
I couldn't figure it out... then I flew the old 172... I am currently building time in real life to get my instrument.. so I was playing around with the VOR's, DME's, GPS, etc....
Then I finally realized it.. I would throttle down to nothing and the cessna would still be kicking around 1500-1700 RPM's and it should be around 800-900 RPMs....
Apparently... my CH products Yoke isn't working properly... I did calibrate it.. still the same thing... throttle won't goto "zero."
Any ideas on how to fix this problem? It has stopped me from flying online because it is simply very hard to land when the jet is still trying to climb!
Thanks

Is there any driver for this things? If so, try to keep it to the current versions, because they fix bugs.
Now, you may want to try recalibrating the whole thing. That might have something to do with it. The new switch shouldn't have affected your previous settings... but hey.. this is Windows... so you never know.
Anyway, I'll keep on searching on that topic. Try these and tell us what happens.
Cheers!

Then there should be a driver. Plug and Play requires the OS to have the driver.
Cheers!

Gaston,
I did download a while back and it didn't help.. spent some time seaching the MS site tonight and I came to the conclusing that they suggest I "rebuild" the controler configuration... I'm preparing for a long flight in the real life 172 tomorrow then hosting a SB party Sunday.. so I'll try that Monday... thanks to all for your help so far.

Glen if you are having a problem getting the throttle to go to zero, or to full power, make sure that the sensitivity/null zone in FS is turned all the way up. If not you may not get the full travel to register with FS.

Also check FSUIPC, you can calibrate your joysticks there inside FS.
