One of the last parts of DVA2006/AFV2006 to be completed is the Fleet Library. I am currently going through the installers and rebuilding them with a number of improvements.
First, the installers need to work with the new site's web services API and the lack of mirrors. They will also finally fix the LZMA problems we have been having with the sound packages. There's also a revised and hopefully better automatic smoke system.
Second, they will incorporate a number of new panels and liveries. I need to emphasize a few points here, especially as they relate to our codeshare airlines. I try to incorporate Delta, Air France, Alitalia, AeroMexico, Korean Air Lines and Air Jamaica into our installers. As you're aware, Delta does operate code share agreements with a number of other airlines, most prominently Continental, Northwest and Alaska Airlines.
Since Continental and Northwest have active and popular virtual airlines on the Internet, I have no intentions of dramatically expanding the size of our installers (already substantial) adding a number of new liveries and models. Since their fleets do not overlap well with Delta, this isn't the just a matter of adding a new livery which can add as little as 100K to an installer. Not going to happen. Sorry.
The exception is Alaska Airlines. I am going to be adding a limited number of historic Alaska models such as the 727 and CV-990 (and maybe a few others) to the Fleet Library, since in most cases this is just a matter of adding a texture set and little else. If you like toodling around the Pacific Northwest in historic aircraft, you'll like the new fleet.
I haven't decided on what we're going to do with KLM and AFV. I might punt and leave that to Tom.
Now for the really bad news - the new Fleet Library is going to drop FS2002 support. Looking at the PIREP statistics, we are logging between 70% and 92% of our flights on FS2004 this year. More and more new models are coming out supporting only FS2004, and we are going to include them as time passes. Those of you running FS2002 should not be overly worried, as the bulk of the AFV and DVA fleets will still remain compatible with FS2002, including the CRJ, 320, 330, 757, 767, 777, DC8, CV880, CV990 and 747. However, if I see a neat new model the fact that it is FS9-only will not stop me.
Cheers!

Thanks for your kind offer, Joe.
It's not really an issue of bandwidth or storage space, since it's currently pretty much unlimited and will remain so with the new site. The limitation really is my own time and energy ensuring that we have compatible installers - the maintenance required to keep them up to date and working. I just don't have the time to generate an FS2002 fleet, especially if 90% of the airline is on FS2004.
On a side note, do you know of any NNC/special versions of POSKY's 762? If you do, send over the textures. I'm rebuilding the fleet this week.
Cheers!
