set the jumper on it to slave, set the jumper on your 1st hdd to master,and youll be good to go.
when you reboot your PC, go to my computer and when you see the icon for the new drive..right click on it and hit format,and format it.
Thats SATA config,now if you have other things in mind,then it gets more technical

The common ATA protocol works exactly like SATA... just go to My PC and format it

Don't you need to fdisk it before it will even appear in My Computer? That's what I had to do.

Well, i think that depends on what operating system that is being used...if its windows 98, then yes you have to use FDISK to create a partition.....Hope that helps

While we're on the topic, would I be able to move all of my FS folders and the like to run all FS programs solely off of the second HDD?

If the hard drive is formatted and installed correctly and windows is recognizing it, sure. You'd have to reinstall it onto the second drive however.
