I was going to take this test this afternoon and found that it doesn't exist.
Should I take the test for the L-1011 since it's also a three holer? I notice that there are not too many aircraft-related questions on the tests I've taken so far. Maybe a weight question or something similar, but no systems questions, W&B, etc.
Just scratching my head here. If anyone knows anything about the Captain's Test for the 72, please write.
Thanks.

Michael, the 727 Captain's test shows as available in the center here on my end. Really, you don't need to take it unless you want to transfer out of 737s and into 727s, you already have the rating and the test is only necessary for promotion. If you'd like to transfer programs, let me know and I'll move you into 727s.

Thanks for the reply Matt.
As much as I love the B73', my heart belongs to the B72' and that's where I think I should be. My old airline didn't offer 727 service but this is the airliner I was meant to fly.
I need to transfer to the 727 program. I'll miss the 737.

I'm sorry that I forgot to add, that when I access the testing Center there is no Captain's Test offered for the B722. None that I see. I see other Stage Three Aircraft tests, but the 72 Captain's test is not there on my system.

That's odd...I've transferred you now, just got it thru, does it still not show a Captain's test for you?

Thanks Matt. Now I need to know what I have to do to make Captain in this aircraft.
Thanks for taking me in. I'm just so glad it will fly on my system.

Captain's examinations are not visible for individuals in lower stage equipment programs. If you were a member of a stage 2 program, you would not see the 727, 757 or L-1011 captain's examinations.
Cheers!

See, I thought that might screw me up when I joined Delta. I was assigned to the B757 but it won't run on my system because it's so old so I asked to be demoted to the B738 because I already had a Delta 738 that flew great on my system. And at the same time I took the FO test for the 72 and got that rating and then went down to the B737. I know it's all very confusing. I can't even follow it.
I've always wanted to fly the 72' and when I took the test, the President said that I'd be OK in this class too.
I don't really care where I'm at though as long as I'm flying the 72'. If you can make any sense of what I tried to explain from above that's OK too.
Thanks again for taking me in. To me, it's quite an honor to fly this aircraft.

Yes it is. I was so sorry to see so many airlines retire this arcraft. I wish they could have hung some CFM's on the rear end, but I' not an engineer or a bean-counter. Just a dreamer.
