First let me start off by saying this is an awsome VA the ac with panels/sound are the best (freeware).
I did read the policy manual before signing up but maybe I made a mistake. Without being able to see the flight schedules (non member) it was hard to determing if DVA is for me. I'm 757 rated but I only have time for up to two hour flights. There are no 757 2 hour fllights at least from KSLC. So, my question is... Is there a way to PIREP non schedule flights? I'm not ready to spend much time in the 737 although it is a great plane.
Thanks, John

I'm kinda in the same situation, but I've found several flights out that aren't too long. SLC-LAX, SLC-LAS, ATL-FLL, ATL-ORD are just a few. These are all about 1.3-1.8 hours long. Your best bet is to look for "commuter" flights out of the hub cities (ATL, SLC, and DFW). Delta flies mostly 767 on these flights, but a few are flown by the 757.

You can substitute an airplane for a flight that you want to fly as long as it has the distance. For example, you could substitute a 757 for a 737's flight.

John,
Well as you may know you are not limited to operating into and out of the SLC airport. I recommend downloading the electronic timetable available from Delta.com. This will allow you to find flights meeting your time constraints. I use it all the time to fly my flights as we do not truly have flight assignments anymore. It's left up to the pilot. One suggestion would be to fly from SLC to say DFW (ETE 2h 29). Then from DFW you could operate ATL or CVG which would provide alot more options for you. You're not limited to just flying into and out of Salt Lake, but if this a region you truly want to fly in then at least you get 2 legs a trip via SLC. If you would like I could create a schedule for you using the timetable. Just post your preferences and I will see what I can come up with ok? Don't worry, it will all work out. The bottom line is we want you to be happy here and we're willing to do what it takes to help you out.

Hey guys,
Thank you for the info. Being able to switch ac was the answer I wanted to hear, thanks James. Andy I appreciate you wanting to put in some extra time for me but it isn't necessary. As you can tell I'm thrilled about Jame's response. But yes I've made KSLC my hub. It's nice to land between mountain ranges and lakes.
Thanks again, John

One of the unspoken rules within DVA is "use common sense, and everything within moderation." So long as that is adhered to most things are possible. Welcome aboard!
