Wes, when you get the error message next from Microsoft, there should be a button on there that tells you what the error report is about. I havent had one since the new computer so I forgot which button to hit Try posting an image or alerting us of what MS says the error is.

I had the same problem with one of my computers. When it chrashes and the error reporting message comes up click on send error message. then it will open your browser and try installing the FS9 update. It worked for me hopefully it will work for you.

well, I haven't been as lucky - I have reinstalled FS9 maybe 6 times in the past 2 years or however it's been out - usually some add-on will hose it. I used to install tons of add-ons from avsim and fsfreeware, then I started buying the payware and while I have lots of stuff, after reinstall, I usually only put FSGenesis and my current flying airplanes on there. I didn't even reinstall active sky last time due to slow loading on FS9 - it was taking about 5 minutes from icon click to get to the flight setup screen - I think those were caused by the first version of SB3 though, not sure...
what really sucks is when you're on a long flight and just about to land or hit the approach, and it goes belly up - the worst thing I've found is when I go to click on the radio to make a frequency change - a few times, it'll just go black and then blow up - sometimes a good cold boot helps...
anyways, very cautious about what I add to FS9 these days... why install all that stuff and have to do it again?
i.e. right now, the only add-ons installed are DF727, LDS 763, PMDG 738, Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis mesh (Worldwide) and Squawkbox 3.0.3 which works pretty good compared to the original 3.0 version
