Hi there well my router causes me for some reason to drop 10 FPS when ever i do a flight with SB3...
These are the ports i have opened
I do knw that my router has a fire wall as its a Linksys BEFSR 41... so even with trying to disable the windows and zone alarm fire wall, no difference...
Since i have the proper ports open, i have a feeling that the firewall of the router has something to do with the 10fps drop that occurs to me when ever i use sb3.
Any help on what i can do is granted appreciately.
Cheers,
Alex

Alex,
Being a Linksys Tech Support guy myself, the only thing I can tell you is that the ROUTER IS NOT causing the 10FPS loss in your computer. The Router has its own "hardware" and does not rely on other hardware other than the AC adapter to operate.
The list of processes that you have there will open the ports that those apps use in the Router's Firewall. The FPS loss is due to something in your computer. Since the BEFSR41 is not a wireless capable router, there's no way that a wireless connection be established so the extra PC requirements that wireless connections require don't exist.
What I DO suggest is that you disable the UPnP service that the "CD utility" uses to set up your router. You'll have less CPU usage, I can assure you.
If you have any questions, let me know.
Cheers!

And btw...
No offense, eh... how on earth did you diagnose that your BEFSR41 was causing the loss?
Cheers!

lol well that was my final conclusion after trying to think that maybe the firewall of the router was the cause, and yes i do want to continue tihs case with u further, so u have an msn messenger or so? if you please emaill it to me or post it here on the boards if u feel alright.
This is indeed annoying me alot and i dont quiet understand the unpnp thing or what ever it is called that u are talking about so i need to talk to u live if possible to resolve this issue
Thanks,
Alex

lol gaston i dont knw what u helped me with, but it worked, and i love u !!! hearts flying all over the places to you
lol sorry, haha but wow i really am glad, its like a dream come true mate, today i got 18 FPS landing at FLY TAMPAS KSFO after a 5 hour flight from ATLANTA.
Now remember i was using the LDS, so i got around 18 FPS in the take off / final approach in the panel, and around 35 - 85 FPS throughout the whole flight on the wing-view / spot view.
Im so glad, and i have discovered a new program, FSINN and its my favourite... i was using it today and i am so glad
THANKS MATE !!!

I didn't want to say this... but...
I TOLD YOU SO... Never, EVER bash or blame a product that I love, and troubleshoot LOL
Glad it worked out for you, make sure you disable those processes again before starting FS, Alex.
Cheers!
