Dunno, at list, 2001 doesn't. I don't think you'll have any trouble unless you set your AV into a VERY HIGH security level, he won't bug you. But, if you install it, make sure you have plenty of RAM available!
Cheers,

Norton is terrible. Get AVG, it's free without support, www.grisoft.com.

Brittany,
I have used Norton Anti-Virus since 1992 without any problems. It has taken me throught DOS and all the versions of Windows 3.1 to XP (with the exception of Windows ME) without problems. I have never had a virus contaminate my system. It has worked with FS from 98 to FS9 without any problems.
While it is payware, IMHO, it is worth every penny. Updates are automatic as soon as they are released.

Don't get Norton Personal Firewall....it'll do a GREAT job of messing up your ability to fly online

Yes I have to Agree with Tom and Rob,
Norton has to be one of the better Av programs avialable to the consumer. Though it is a pretty memory intensive program, for which it has to be, it monitors that too LOL. Even if you set your AV to maximum setting you are prompted to allow or disallow a programs function onto the Net.
If you are running this program, NAV2005 it has its own built in Worm protection feature, which binds to the NIC Adapters on your PC, along with Win XP Firewall there is no need for Norton Personal FW, which does create havoc if you are through a Router or Hub switch.
I found this out through Win 2000 Pro, no matter how you set it up some programs will not activate, it may have been that I had a Bug prior to installing it, but now that I do not have it installed , all is working flawlessly.
On a side note, I have seen no problems with NPFW with XP Pro.
