no there isn't a 747 program. if you're goal is the 747 you could join AVF. or you can advance to stage 4 and get your 747 rating.

Actually I'm not sure how the 747 goes. I can't remember if it's a separate type rating, or if it comes along with the DC-8. It's never really been an issue since we haven't had a 747 installer till now, and Delta only ever had four 747s in the 1970s anyhow.
Now I expect that Luke will have a separate 747 type rating and program in AFV. Air France is a huge user of the 747.

Yes Lew, AFVA will have a separate 747 program, so if any of you want to fly it you can join that program on the other side of the pond... in AFVA, if not, if you´re looking just for information and support you can contact the AFVA 747 Chief PIlot (you´ll know his name very soon). if noooot, just get the Stage 4 ratings as Lewis said and you´ll be able to fly it.

PMDG should be coming out with their 747-400 very soon, and if it is anything like the 737 it will be amazing!!
