Hello guys and gals,
My new PC has an S3 Prosavage DDR Video card... and it is awful. It's been nothing but a hassle since I got it. At first it messed with ASRC and would mess with Windows Menus. Now that I'm back up and running with MSFS, everything is messed up. First off, runways are aqua!!! Then once I land, the runway looks like a laser grid. To fix the ASRC problem I've been uninstalling it and then having Windows XP configure it after I reboot my machine. I know this isn't normal and I am looking for a way to fix it. Do you think that it's the driver or the card itself? Also, can anybody point me to a good video card? I may be in the market for one before Christmas.
Matt
This picture is of me in the Awais-Mobile on final Runway 17 KMCO. Note the aqua runways

I have a GeForce 4200 ti 128mb card that is great, I haven't had one problem. I also assume that your card has been updated with the lastest drivers and is Direct X 9 compaitible if you have DX9?

Tim, I just bought this PC a week ago today... I'd like to think that everything would be current.

Trying to search if there is an update for your card, only for Fligth Simulator. I have a GeForce 4 MX, 128DDR and I had to download a small patch for FS because my vid card didn`t show me the aircraft reflections, after that, it`s working perfect. Try on that way.
Hope this help.

Matt,
You shouldn't have any problems if the system is new, it kinda of sounded like you just bought a new vid card. Def. check for some sort of update though. good luck!

Even a "brand new" video card off the shelf will typically have updates for it by the time you purchase it. I'd check the manuf website, look for support or downloads, and get the latest driver they have for your card.
Good LUCK!!!
Cheers

Matt, also check for the latest INF chipset drivers for your particular motherboard, it helped me alot with some recent video card problems I had.
