Hi guys! For those of you who know computers:
I'm trying to improve my pc's performance while using FS, but to do that I need to close programs running, but when I go to the tasks manager, I always see these annoying processes called svchost.exe, there are always about 5 of those same tasks running, and if I close one of them, the whole system shuts down.
I tryed using some of those 'Enditall' programs from avsim, but non of them helps, performance keeps the same.
Any suggestion????
Thanx a lot

You cannot close the svchost.exe programs (as you have found) they are for dll processes. If you have questions about what you can and cannot shut down, you can go to www.blackviper.com, he has a great list of processes and what they do. You can also google the process name, and it should give you a link to provide more info about the process. I would suggest trying FSAutostart made by Ken Salter (look on either Avsim or Flightsim). It will tell you what the selected process does, as well as give a recommendation as to whether or not to kill the process. It will also re-start processes after you shut down flightsim. If you need any help in setting it up post here, or send me an e-mail. Hope this helped.

Also get rid of the dektop image you have there if you can do without it. It eats up resources in the background. Believe it or not.
Best regards.

You should try END IT ALL (suggested form Micheal Carter). It basically tells you what everything is and shuts down what you want it to. Saves me a lot of mem. and = better performance of FS and other programs. Should be on avsim or flightsim. If not seach it on google and its bound to be there I had that same problem with all that crap and not knowing what some of it was (knew some but not all). Good luck and it really does help your computer and not just FS!
