Im wondering if it might be a good idea to create different branches of DVA, and create also airlines such as Aeromexico Virtual, Chech Air Virtual, Song Air Virtual, etc.,etc.,etc.
We could hire people from DVA to run these, and then we could focus more on Delta than its partners. If you are interested, reply!

I do not think that is a good idea. The way this VA is set up now gives pilots an opportunity to fly just about anywhere in the world, which helps alleviate the bordem of repetitive routes. Although I tend to fly the same routes, I believe others enjoy the diversity available to them.

I like the diversity of the routes now. Eventhough I am still in the lower range of aircraft right now, I am looking forward to getting enough experience to move up and fly several different routes into different airports. I think we should probably just leave it as it is.

I am fairly new to DVA. It did not take me long to realize you have a good thing going here. Tweaking may mess it up.
I know there are a lot of individuals that volunteer time to perform the necessary operations of this airline.
Fragmenting the airline may dilute those resources.
I vote to leave things just as they are.

I'm a person that says change is not good, hehe (:P). Check my logbook and you'll see what I'm talking about. I enjoy the diversity of routes DVA and AFV have. Building a SkyTeam timetable let's me enjoy routes on American, European, Asian or African soil, which I enjoy a lot.

I see no strong compelling reason to split DVA. Our community is focused on flying the routes and aircraft of real world Delta Airlines, its affiliates and codeshares. We are striving to enhance our enjoyment of virtual aviation by increasing our knowledge and experience.
The downside to creating divisions or smaller units is that we face the possible loss of the community component of the group at large. It is the community that binds us together and thereby creates a diverse group of individuals sharing in the hobby. The energy that propels comes from sharing and input of our fellow pilots. The mass of our group creates inertia that keeps us vibrant. Lose the mass and we stagnate or worse lose numbers.
Now, I do support change, but for validated reasons. I believe that to grow we need to change; however, we need to hold onto to core elements responsible for the making DVA the great airline that it is.

I for one don't want to see any split. I'll offer help to any that I can when possible. I've finally got things settled down to the point of being able to contribute after almost a year, At this time I've been working on the bugs on the CS 707. With the help of a few others we should have a tutorial ready within the next few weeks. DVA is great the way it is. To quote so many "if its broke don't fix it"

This topic has been brought up a few times already in the Cooler, and as always, my answer has remained the same. DVA has a key differentiator in the way the operation is set up. Having flown for other VA's while with DVA, the constant in my case has always been DVA.
I do not doubt the abilities of our management team. DVA is more successful now than it has ever been. Leave it the way it is and if you're going to improve, then improve on what is in place already.
