I was just wondering what the "held" status on a PIREP was and what some reasons for a PIREP being held were?

A Flight Report is put on "Hold" status to permit time to clarify or acquire additional information about the flight report. When the Staff Member places a hold, an email is sent to the pilot requesting that the pilot contact that staff member to resolve questions surrounding the Flight Report or PIREP. The pilot is given 7 days to respond. If there is no response, the Flight Report is rejected.
Unresolved issues include, unscheduled flight (refer to recent NOTAM for definition of eligible flights), unrated aircraft used, aircraft incapable of safe journey, omitted information, i.e., time.
Should you receive a "Hold" email, please respond promptly to avoid a rejected flight report.

I have a held pirep in my logbook and never received an email (I think it inadvertantly ended up in my SPAM folder). Could someone please re-send me the "held pirep" email?
Thanks

Well Terry, same happened to me. I had a "hold pirep" for a couple of days, but never received any e-mail. Anyhow, it shows accepted now.

Did you receive the email approving the PIREP? Did you notice any other omitted or missing email from Deltava.org ?
We are encountering issues with aggressive spam filters on some systems.

Terry, I did received and e-mail from Daniel Ward approving the flight, but before that, no e-mail was received telling
me that the flight was held, or asking me any aditional information.
