Hi guys,
I just joined, and i have a bit of an issue. I run FS9 with my 2ghz 256ram laptop with no issues at all. I have the settings on medium, but that doesnt bother me...just as long as it doesnt go all choppy! The problem is that whenever i try and fly an add-on plane, its horribly choppy to the point where i just cant fly at all. Being with a VA that is based wholy upon add-on aircraft, i'm getting a bit worried!! I just downloaded the 757 and i just dont know what to do. I have changed the settings to the lowest, but the situation doesnt get any better. What should i do? If my computer wasnt fast enough for the game, wouldnt these problems show during regular opperations with default aircraft too?
Thanks very much guys,
Mike

Mike ,
Problems lie these are common with Laptops, At tthe school I work for they bought all Dell Insirions 2.8 Ghz machines with 256Mb of ram, The problem is not with the addons it is in the way that the On board Video has to share the sam 256 Mbs of mem. Along with the on board sound and anything else intergrated with with the system.
If you have a copy of 2002, try running that on it, I did that for the school and the problem disapeared. FS9 Is a Giant resource hog, and memory intensive, along with Payware add ons included in the bunch, you are asing for trouble. The add ons in the fleet installer are Freeware aircraft modified for are use here at DVA.The Lonny Payne Panel is a Hog on the sources also.
