I looked throught the documentation that came with FS9 but no where is it stated that there is multiple monitor support. My ATI 9800 Pro supports multiple monitors, but I don't know how to go about setting this up.
I'd like to be able to manage the flight engineer station on a separate monitor.
Is this where Wide-View comes into play?

That card should have multiple monitor out capability and connectors on the back, just connect one to each monitor and go into your ATI set up and identify and set up each monitor. It is not FS9 dependant. Let me know. I have a Nvidia GTX 7800 OC and run two monitors in span mode at 2500x1024 on two 19 " flat panels, looks great and works flawlessly.

I know the card supports multiple monitors. What I'm wondering is how do I get the flight engineer's panel to show on the second monitor? Just grab it and drag it to the edge of the primary monitor?

You'll probably have to right click and "undock" it before you can drag it to the other monitor.

Michael, Matt is right, you have right click on the window after you have it open and undock it before you can drag it over to the other monitor, but you can only do this when FS is in windowed mode. Put FS in windowed mode if you aren't already. Then open the popup panel, right click on it and drag it over to the second monitor. Now go back over and click somewhere in the main FS screen just to make sure it has the focus, and than return to full screen mode. You should then be able to move your mouse to the second monitor and adjust the size and position of your other panel if you want.

when using multiple monitors, what screenshot program do you recommend so you only get a screenshot of one or the other monitors? i.e. I don't want to have to crop the 2nd monitor every time...

George, I have tried almost all of the current screenshot programs out there and the ones I have tried always have to crop them. I think this issue is OS and graphics card.

George, I have two monitors and use "Snapper." I forgot where I got it, but it was recommended by someone here about a year or so ago, and it is free. Try maybe Avsim? Anyway, right out of the box, Snapper does capture both monitors and makes it one wide shot. You can get a capture from just one monitor if you want. You DO have to change the setting's inside snapper to make this work. If I remember right, I just put in the monitor setting (1024X768) as the capture size and it only takes a "shot" of the left monitor (#1). Hope this helps.

I use dual monitors and never have to crop the other monitor screenshot out.
Here's how>>>>

I ordered a VDI-VGA converter from Newegg this morning. I should be able to try this out by the middle of next week or so.
