I bought a new joystick and thought it would help...elevators will not stay up when I try to take off. I've noticed it in many different aircraft. As soon as I rotate, the elevators go down and I nose into the runway. I pull all the way back on the joystick and cannot get it to act right. I'm past the point of frustration...
Any ideas? I'm using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick.

Brian, the answer is most likely your trim setting - it could also be some calibration issues, but you may want to look at trim first...
also, are you using flaps on takeoff? what airplane, takeoff weight and what speed are you rotating? you may be trying to takeoff before the airplane is ready...

I use that joystick and don't have any problems. You might also want to check your CG.

When it happens, it happens with all aircraft. The last instance was the 737-800 from DVA. I was a little under max weight. I had flaps set at 5 degrees. I rotated approx 135 and it was fine. I was constant on the joystick and all of the sudden I went nose down. I tried again with the spot plane view. You can see it work fine and all of the sudden, the elevator drops.
Joystick is calibrated. I tried that. Does FSUIPC have any influence over aircraft controls? Shane, help me...CG?

Brian, CG is center of gravity - it's pretty difficult to exceed your CG in flight sim unless you're using a payware bird wtih a load manager - sounds like you have an issue with either flight sim or the joystick. You can try re-calibrating it, getting a new joystick or as Andrew suggested - reinstalling Flight Sim...

If I re-install FS, will I lose all of my aircraft and scenery? I guess I could save all of that to my HD in a different folder, if needed.
