Ok as the title suggests. Flight Sim works fine now. However after maybe 20hrs open some of the menu's will dissapear and it locks up the comp but when i manage to close flight Sim. Everything goes back to normal. I am using FS2004.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

fly flights shorter than 20hrs

I don't know much about computers and such, but I had a problem similar to yours (It locked up the whole computer), and doing what Matthew said stopped my problem...I would re-start if my computer and/or flight sim had been on a long time. Not sure if this was a cooling issue, but haven't had the problem since.

Mine does that too. Just restart FS between flights.

Mine does something weird like that.
But after 1 or 2 hrs of using it, FS starts to lock up and gives me bad performance. Like if the processor stopped for 1 second every few seconds, and gives me 2 or 3 FPS, with or withouth sound, with or withouth high or low scenery settings, etc. I thought it was a overheating problem, but it seems that it's the program itself
I can barely land after every flight i do due to this. It really bothers.

This sounds like a buffer being over loaded. To much info being storred or saved in a temp file. It must be a temp file if a reboot clears up the problem.
