I've got a Dell Dimension 4500S and I'm trying to put a geForce4 MX440 158PCI-64TV video card in it. I've got it in and everything works except for the games. When I try to bring up FS2002 the computer goes into Safemode and it won't let select the 3d-accelerator option in the Display settings in the game. It shows the card being there. Anyone have any answers? I now the card not much but i don't have much money and Its got to be better than the one integrated in the computer.

I have the same video card, and check out my screenies It's one of the best out there, considering its price and that it's an old card.
I have no clue why it could be doing that. I installed it and worked perfeclty from day 1. I can only think of updating your video card drivers. http://www.nvidia.com and click on the upper menu "download", then "software drivers" or something like that.

I had this happen before and it came down to what slot i had the card in.you dont want any empty slots between hardware.so if this is the case then move the video card to a slot closer to the mother board.if its a AGP typ card then be shure its pushed all the way down into the slot and its firmly in place.and the only other option is that video card may not be compatible with your opperating system.you can check that out on nvidias website or on the box that the card came in.
