I have noticed a minor problem - some tags have the letters in the wrong spot - on the default ones - it's probably because they need to be modified to work with IE7 though...

One of the nice features of version 7 is the ability to print the web page and not have it cut it off to the right side of the page - it'll now resize the print to fit on the paper.

If you like Firefox, you'll find that IE7 functions alot like it does, so far that I can tell so far... of course it's only a BETA and I'm sure the hackers will focus more on IE7 than Firefox...

Yeah... Poor microsoft. They have to catch up with Apple and compete against freeware things like Thunderbird and Firefox.

I, personally, am biased by the fact that I'm a web developer... Anyone who has ever tried to implement a bleeding-edge CSS/AJAX based site will understand the complications that arise when trying to code for both cases: "Standards Compliant" browsers vs. "Microsoft." It's not that it's impossible, it's simply that it is a HUGE pain in the you-know-what. You've got to build your javascript libraries about 50% larger than they actually need to be so that you accomodate the IE-specific things, with the comfort that every other decent browser in the world will display it as you wished because they all conform. When you have so many IE-specific workarounds, you lose the true modularity of what good programming should be, because a lot of times, you now have two lines of code where something could go wrong in the event of a change... .The IE line, and the "all others" line.
One thing that never ceases to amuse me in this line of work is going through other people's code, and even my own, and finding both back-end and front-end functions (and even markup sometimes!) named something like "IEWorkaround" or "explorerFiveFiveHack" etc etc! I always get such a kick out of that. However, you never see anything like "SafariFix()" or "Firefox08Hack()" etc!
I don't think they will EVER "catch up" with Apple and the freeware stuff, not because of the "free"-ness of it (IE is free), but because of its inability to conform to standards in a world where more and more people are developing on the web, and also because they can't do security worth a crap. Hackers will concentrate more on IE, as George has correctly predicted, not ONLY because of the market-share of IE, but also because IE is far, far, far more vulnerable. Of course, there is a catch 22 here - as Firefox and others wouldn't be as incredibly secure as they are if IE hadn't come along before them and show them what NOT to do. So don't give FF ALL the credit. But the misconception is that hackers focus on IE simply because of market share. False.
Slowly, but surely, the market share of browsers like Firefox is growing, and their supporting communities are growing, too. This is another catch-22, as those who USE Firefox tend to have higher standards (I'm not trying to insult anyone here, please don't write back some nasty remark), and when the subset of that group that CONTRIBUTES to Firefox does so, the result is ONLY high-quality plugins, themes, and contributions to the browser itself. This makes it attractive to non-users who eventually switch, and never go back when they realize that their browser is no longer downloading every freeware toolbar from here to Timbuktu, nevermind the absence of popups!
As for IE, I give it another couple of years before it's in the minority. Their IE7 enhancements like "Tabbed Browsing" are just a few years too late...
Thanks for letting me rant!! Long live Firefox 1.5!!

If it's the look you don't care for, you can "theme" FireFox in so many different ways it's not even funny.

Or create your own!!
