I bought the PMDG 737 about a week and a half ago and I've noticed that sometime within my flight, some textures of the aircraft will disappear. Parts of the exterior become textureless and sometimes half the plane will have textures while the other half will have nothing. I've also noticed similar problems in the cockpit.
Specs: ATI Radeon 9500 Pro/9700 128 mb
Win. XP
Intel Pentium 4 2.6 gHz
Memory size: 511 mb
Technical support at PMDG recommended me to buy extra RAM, and suggested that it will fix the problem
Any suggestions?

I agree. A gig of RAM will help immensely.

I flew the PMDG 737 on my old system with 512 of ram and it was fine. Try to reinstall it and see if that helps. You may also make sure you have the proper drivers for your ATI card. Make sure you get them from ATI or omega.
Adding more RAM is nice but will not fix the problem.

I had not really "missing textures" with my graphically intensive aircraft including the PMDG737, but I did have a delay in the textures appearing on the aircraft and ground when switching to external view. This delay shortened to less than a second after upgrading my vid card. Your ati card may not be quite fast enough for the settings you have input. Check out this web link to ati setting to see if it helps:

RAM can only help. Check out other drivers for ati too, esp 3rd party ones. Find them at guru3d.com.

"Specs: ATI Radeon 9500 Pro/9700 128 mb "
What does this mean ? Did you soft-mod your 9500 into 9700 ???
What's your AGP aperture ?

Thanks for the help.
I'm might try reinstalling, but I doubt it'll work (I have both the 737 NG, and the -800/900 expansion and they both have the problems). I'll make sure i have the proper drivers, but I'm probably gonna end up getting a new vid card (Radeon X1300 series?).
Adam, Im pretty sure I have the ATI Radeon 9500, but for some reason my computer recognizes my vid card as 9500 Pro/9700. I myself don't quite understand this.
What is AGP aperture? I've never heard of this before.

Adam I would highly recommend getting rid of the ATI and going with a GForce card, much better card and alot faster, and in most cases, alot less expensive!!! Which is always good, and if you are running a PCI Vid card, that's your biggest mistake right there, these highly detailed a/c are way too complex to be running on a PCI vid card, to see them run at their full potential, you will definitely need to get an AGP card, they are ten times faster clockspeed and processing speed. But the new cards out nowadays is the new PCI Express, but most likely unless you have built that computer in within the past 8 months to a year, it doesn't have a PCI Express slot on it. But I would definitely recommend either the GForce 6800 Ultra or 7200 Ultra FX, those are both really nice cards, a little expensive but well worth it when it comes to running stuff like FS and those complex payware a/c and especially if you have any good payware addon scenery!!!! Hope this answers your question!!!

Adam, your AGP aperture is set in your BIOS setting - I'd set it for 256 and see what happens.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, I'm still encountering the same problems with my PMDGs. I am gonna buy a new vid. card. Any suggestions? I am looking for a decent card up to 300$CAN . I was looking at the ATI Radeon X1600 Pro AGP. Many people recommended it.
Michael, I researched a bit but I can't seem to find the GForces you mentioned within my price range. Would you recommend anything else?
