Dear fellas,
I've been facing some rather strange problems with my flight simulator and for that reason I decided to uninstall and install everything again.
After I did the uninstall, I carefully removed all other folders left from FS9 including that one hidden somewhere I dont remember anymore and restarted my pc. Then I installed FS9 again plus the patch to version 9.1. No add ons this time, anything but the software itself and the patch.
As soon as I runned FS9 again I've noticed a warning saying that FSSound.dll was found but couldn't be loaded or something like that. How's that possible if I haven't installed this module? But after a quick check, the module was indeed there!!! I wish this was all. When I started my first flight with this fresh reinstall, I wanted to change some settings so I opened the menu on flight screen and there was also a vistamare module. But I haven't installed any vistamare software as I mentioned before, I just had a fresh reinstall and no add ons at all. Now, all these things that appeared there were installed previous to my reinstall but as I mentioned, I carefully deleted every singe file left after the uninstall.
To make it worse, if I fly on a overcast situation, each time I fly over a small cloud this same cloud will spin on its own axis!!! Oh sweet jesus, sounds like I got a ghost on my simulator! Does anybody know what can cause such strange behavior? And before I forget, I used to edit my panels with fs panel and this software converted all my .cfg files to a so called "fsps.document" and now, even with a fresh reinstall of FS9 and fs panel removed from my machine, all my .cfg files are still converted to "fsps.document".
In my 3 years of flightsim I've seen some weird things but none like this
Regards,
Fred Felix
