I bought a new CH Products Flight Yoke USB. When I plug it in my computer doesn't recognize and load the drivers for the yoke. I have no problem getting my SAITEK Cyborg joystick to load so I don't think it is the PC. Any help out there?

Lance are you running Windows XP? If so Pro or Home? Also have you checked your device manager to see if it shows there?

running XP Home SP1. Can't seem to load up SP2 for some odd reason.
It showed up as an unknown USB device.

It should still load up fine with just SP-1 but I would recommend SP-2. Have you gone to controlpanel/game controllers and try to add it there?

Windows isn't recognizing the yoke and won't load the driver for it
I've tried to add it through the game controllers with no success either

Sounds like a USB driver problem. What mainboard is in your system? If you know the model number then I would first try to find updated drivers. Also remove anything connected via usb then reboot and connect only the CH yoke to see if that makes any difference.

I hope you followed all of the directions. That includes loading the drivers first and then plugging in the yoke.

This device didn't come with drivers for it. The instructions are simple, plug it in and go fly. The yoke uses the HID drivers that came with XP. The computer recognizes any other USB device I plug in. It is only the flight yoke it won't recognize. Personally I think it is a problem with the yoke and not my PC.

Except installing SP2 and see if this hellps, I would try to hook the yoke to another pc and see if it's been recognized there.
Ran.

been there done that, it doesn't get recognized on either of the computers in my home. Tomorrow I contact CH Products Tech Support
Regarding SP2....SP2 tries to load onto my C drive but my drive is partioned and Windows is loaded onto the D drive. Can't seem to force SP2 to load onto the D drive. Also, I got the SP2 disc from Microsoft and it appears to be a faulty copy that freezes my PC.
Woe is me

Just out of curiousity, did your reboot (hard boot) after you installed? Windows should automatically load the drivers when you reboot after you have it installed and connected. Also you should have program in your program files to calibrate the CH rudder and yoke, or whatever you have. I have both of these installed on SP2.
Let me know.
Joe

If you haven't installed the USB drivers for the Yoke it will not work properly. You should also install the CH Control Center. http://www.chproducts.com/retail/tech_support_usb.html
