Hey Guys,
Ive never had problems with FS2004 previously but ive just attempted to start up the application and i get the following error message : FSUIPC PROBLEM! - This is a Beta Copy of FSUIPC which expired on 30/06/06.
After i click OK on the error box FS2004 stops loading and closes. I have no idea what this error message is for and why it has appeared. All i know is Iam completly at a loss for what to do. If you guys could give me some help in solving this issue it would be great
Thanks in advance
Ben

Yeah i just recently downloaded ACARS about 2 days ago, ive found out the version i have its "FSUIPC, Version 3.601" from looking at the website this seems to be the latest version. This error message is a real pain as its stopping me from even being able to get on FS2004. If it is the ACARS download iam not sure why it has taken so long for it to cause a problem? Ive had installed for 2 days without FSUIPC showing this error message.

Go to the web site Luke Mentioned and download the FSUIPC zip file. Then copy the fsuipc.dll into your flight simulator/modules folder. I had the same problem for some reason and this did the trick. You don't really need the rest of the files in the zip file.

I'm having the same issue now. I visited the site to downgrade to 3.6.0 and now FS wont even think about starting. ACARS requires 3.6.01 and whenever I try to paste I get "Access Denied". I'm tired and having brain farts tonight so if anyone knows how I can quickly solve this I'll come back the WC in the morning.`

I downloaded FSUIPC 3.6.0.0 from the Schriatti website, and overwrote 3.6.0.1 that comes with ACARS that seems to be the Beta in Question. And i get the message that ACARS requires FSUIPC 3.6.0.1. I guess Luke is going to have to allow 3.6.0.0 to be used with Build 72?

Hey Twyone and Mike, believe me i can completly understand how frustarting it is. But the only thing i can suggest is what i did to resolve the issue.
1. Visit: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html
2. Click on the link that directs you to the "FSUIPC 3.60" Download. Open the file.
3. What i did once opening the file and extracting the ZIP was clicked once on the FSUIPC 3.6.0.0 file and copied it. (Ctrl + C)
4 Open Flight Simulators Modules folder and find the recent version of FSUIPC, click once on it and press Ctrl + V to overwrite it, it will ask if you want to replace the file, click "Yes"
5. Now open FS2004 and it should start - up as normal.
However ACARS requires FSUIPC 3.6.0.1 just like Oliver said, so i am not sure how to use ACARS at the moment, that maybe a job for Luke. But on the brightside it now means you can use FS without pulling your hair out. Hopefully this work for you as it did me and enable FS to start up as normal.
Hope this helps
Ben

I already had a registered copy of FSUIPC 3.6.0 installed, and when I downloaded the ACARS build 71 last night, I chose not to install the 3.6.0.1 that came with the installer. ACARS would not work. So I went back and installed the FSUIPC that came with the ACARS download and let it be installed this time and it and FS9 worked fine.

So .. v. 3.6.1.7 is a beta version of FSUIPC that expires on 7/31/06. Should we expect to get the same message and result closing in on that date too?

Steve, my hope is that Peter Dowson will release 3.65 (which is what 3.617 is slated to become) before there is an issue. I would have gone back to 3.60, but the way the FSUIPC installer code is written it would not overwrite the 3.601 version by default, and a lot of people might still have the problem.
It is a less than ideal solution, but it seemed like the quickest fix to push out in 10 minutes.
Cheers!

The fix is simple as Luke said I came up with the same problem after installing the newest ACARS and fooled around some with no luck. Then I got smart and did it the simple way. I backed up and removed the Old FUSPIC dill and unistalled Acars.
Then went to the Fleet download page and downloaded the new Acars again. When the program selection page showed up I saw an updated version of FUSPIC and allowed that to install with the Acars install. With your registration file stiil in place in the FS Modules folder the new dill ins there and all works well now. Alos the program still shows that it is registered.
Try this it is very simple.

Yes if you are still having a problem with the FSUIPC expiry error all you have to now is download the latest version of ACARS, previous advice earlier on in the thread was prior to the updated version being released.
1. Go to Fleet Installer
2. Download the latest version of ACARS
3. In the ACARS download the new FSUIPC is included, make sure you allow that to be included in the download.
4. The error should disappear and everything will return to normal As Tom said, its very simple.
