A new EMB 120 is available from the DVA Fleet Library. It is listed as Embraer EMB 120. It has a new instrument panel, master battery and avionics switches, a new RMI, a new stopwatch, throttle quad, etc. DVA Flight Academy students should download this aircraft before starting the PPL course.

Also as a reminder, when students finish up with Jim Warner in the PPL course, you should contact Scott or myself via the comment section of the course to schedule additional flight instruction.
When you do request flight instruction, please give 2 or 3 different "times" you can fly as well as what time zone you live in.
i.e. "I've finished with Jim Warner and am requesting additional flight instruction. I live in mountain time zone, and can fly Wed night between 8 and 10PM, all day Saturday and Sunday between 6 and 8 PM"
This helps us get you scheduled for one of those times.
For the most part, Scott starts instruction at 7PM eastern time, and I start at 9PM, with a few exceptions here and there.

Another thing for students - when you complete the PPL course, you'll get the "PPL" logo beneath your name in the cooler like Scott and I have...

If you want good sounds for the EMB120, I suggest this sound package found on AVSIM :
http://library.avsim.net/index.php?CatID=fs2004snds
Just an alternate to the default Kingair sounds.

PPL title, neat!! But what about those of us who have REAL PPL's? Can we get some sort of title added to our name too? I think it would be really nice to recognize those of use who have real life tickets... we can list them as PPL, PPL Instrument, Commerical, ATP, CFI, etc...
If you question our ratings, you can go to the FAA site and check on our licenses there... open to the public..
Just a thought...

Our system is designed to track information around our virtual airlines - the farthest we go towards recognizing external qualifications and credentials is tracking VATSIM and IVAO membership. Even that is explicitly designed to facilitate event planning and signups.
You are of course welcome, if you hold "real-world" ratings, to add them to any custom signature you may have.
Cheers!

Glen, sign up for the PPL course - real world pilots will fly through it quickly...
Then you'll have the PPL thing...
