Hi,
I have installed WideFS on a second PC. It connects without problems. ActiveSKy, and other programs work just fine.
I am having trouble with SB3. I installed it on both the FS9 and secondary PC. On the secondary PC it runs and connects just fine, but when it tries to "auto connect" the FS9 machine, that PC times out. Sometimes (about 50%) I can manually connect using multiplayer, but it's not reliable. Most of the time I get disconnected. The SB running on the WideFS client machine stays connected.
I am using a router, and I've searched the internet and found settings for "port forwarding" and other things. I've attempted to set these and I have no idea what I'm doing lol.
When I am manually trying to connect in FS9, I almost always see the Squawkbox show up with a short time delay (1 ms) but I try to connect to it and it works half the time.
I'm rather desperate. Anyone have any ideas, links, hints? It is greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Jeff

If you are using a Firewall, you must also allow SB to connect, Also If you use SB on Machine 2 and FS on machine 1 Make sure that you run the installer with the correct setting, I want to run SB on two machines This one will run Sb, then do the same this one will run FS on the other.
Uninstall SB on the FS machine and procede with the install as stated ...... Should clear it all up

Thanks guys,
I installed SB on both machines with the correct options (it asked me during the install which machine I was installing on).
I ran DXDIAG, DirectPlay works but I have no idea whether or not it's correct. I can create a session with either PC, and they connect. But messages only go from the FS9 PC to the WideFS PC. (Typing on the WideFS machine does not go to the FS9 PC even though they are connected.)
The DirectX test was done without any other software running.
Firewalls are all turned off. I had purchased another firewall, but that was turned off, as was the Windwos Firewall.
It's really weird.
