Most Delta flights are non-stop from point A to point B, with no stops in between. However, from time to time we have flights with an intermediate stop, and to distinguish each flight leg in the schedule database we mark them as leg 1 or 2 (or 3, 4, 5). It's preferrable that the PIREP contain the actual flight number and leg as they appear in the schedule, but we don't enforce that. You should note that the system will not let you input a leg greater than 8.
Cheers!
